This coffee was 4 months old when I got hold of which is not so bad regarding regular coffee beans. Also the best-before date was 6 months after roasting which is quite serious regarding regular beans. Many of the bigger roasteries have a year or two and the better often nine months. I did one 4 minute steep with french press and one drip coffee with V60 filter. As usual I used water at 90 degrees Celsius.

4 minutes french press: It was quite OK for a regular coffee. It was called "medium roasted" which it might be but definitely on the dark side of that. It tasted slightly burnt and slightly bitter but not unpleasantly so (on the other hand my french presses start to become a little worn). It also had a slight acidity to the taste. The core coffee taste was a little weak and didn't last so long and was earthy.

V60 filter drip: Substantially more peasant taste; more coffee taste and lesser bitterness and lesser acidity. The core coffee taste came into a better balance with he acidity and bitterness.

An OK coffee with an OK price-taste performance.
